Vanessa and actress Ashley Tisdale are well-known best friends in Hollywood. The pair first met on the set of High School Musical and have stayed close to one another ever since. They are regularly spotted working out, shopping, eating dinner and celebrating together. They share mutual friends, music tastes and often rock similar styles (did you know they even share the same hair and make-up team?)!
The pair are great examples of good role models in a world of “Young Hollywood” that tends to be full of negative projections – in fact, the pair are more likely to be spotted at a Pilates class or shopping at Planet Blue (a favorite store for both!) than being involved in risky behavior, and that’s exactly what best friends are for- being there for one another in positive ways! At the premiere of Ashley’s film Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, Vanessa said: ”Ashley is my best friend in the whole wide world, so I wouldn’t miss it for anything.”
Friends are what keep you grounded and who support you through the highs and lows- and that’s no different for celebrities. Vanessa and Ashley are there
for each other and supportive of their many joint accolades (Ashley even recently told fan site MissTisdale.net that she made sure to see Sucker Punch in theaters, which she gushed was “so good”) and adventures in the entertainment business!
Ashley talked about Vanessa’s instinctive nature to protect those she loves in a recent article for Seventeen Magazine: “Vanessa is just such a great friend. Like recently, we were at a premiere and I saw a reality star who I thought was really cool. I’d watched her show; so I was excited. But she wasn’t nice to me when I met her. All I really wanted to do was take a picture. So Vanessa stood up for me – she confronted her and was like, ‘Hey, Ashley’s actually a really big fan.’ She is one of those girlfriends who has your back. I love that about her.”
Vanessa and Ashley are great role models for healthy lasting relationships and show that friendships can stand the test of time when perhaps work (or
life) keep two people apart, where one doesn’t get to see the other as regularly as they might wish.
Ashley again spoke about her friendship with Vanessa to Popstar Magazine: ”Me and Vanessa have a really special friendship and I could be anywhere
and she could be doing a movie somewhere else and it’s like nothing’s ever changed. We can see each other maybe like 3 months it’s like time hasn’t
even passed. It’s so great. Also, I can call her whenever I’m anywhere, all over the world and just be like ‘Oh man, I’ve had such a bad day’, and I can
tell her about my day and she’s just always there. A good friend is a good listener.”
