What was pretending to kill Vanessa Hudgens like? 

She’s really nice and a good actress, she worked really hard. Poe put the women in his life on a pedestal, which was easy to relate to, I didn’t know how to relate to a character who wants to kill women. The actual person the character is based on seemed to be an upstanding member of society to everyone around him. He was a real sociopath. As actors it’s fun to visit evil but even nicer to leave. It’s a crazy headspace. It’s just pretend on one level but it’s disturbing when the things you’re portraying are based on actual events.
